Indian weddings are known world wide for their colorful ceremonies. The Indian wedding is not a single day program but it is a series of events that starts some day before the wedding day and goes on for a few days after the wedding day. The events and rituals make the wedding ceremony interesting and colorful and very attractive over the world. The engagement was done before the marriage long ago or just before the wedding ceremony. The engagement is called the Sagai. After the Sagai here come the Sangeet. The Sangeet is the musical function before and during the wedding ceremony. Indian songs are played in the party with the electronic devices or they sing the songs by themselves in a competition style. There is an abundance of songs and dances by both the parties from the bride’s side and the groom's side. Then there comes the Mehendi party, where some cosmetics are used to enhance the beauty of the bride.

Then the last event is Kanyadaan for Hindu community and the Nikaah for the muslim community in the bride’s father give her hand in to the hand of the groom and then the bride leave with her husband and go to the grooms home along with the procession(Baraat).
