The Traditional Dances on Indian Wedding

Indian weddings are incomplete without music and dances and Indian people dance with new Indian songs or traditional songs in a traditional way. Dance is considered as a soul of their weddings. When they play their traditional songs no one can stop himself without doing a dance on the rhythm of music.

To greet the couple of marriages they express their joy by doing traditional dances. But the dance is not same as everywhere because usually the people who do dance are no professionals but they do their traditional dance about which everyone knows. The people of north India mostly like the traditional dance and on the weddings they must do the traditional dance.

In the different areas of India there are different traditional dances which they do at weddings. Sometime the groom and bride also do the dance to greet their guests but every community in India have different traditional dance some of them are:

Bhangra: 

Bangra is the traditional dance of North India and Bangra is seen on every wedding of North India. In Bhangra everyone takes part in it even boys, girls and old peoples and enjoy the wedding ceremony. The Punjabi peoples of North India love it. Bangra is also called Folk dance in which both hands and feet are up with the rhythm of the beat.

Garba:

Garba is the traditional dance of East India and is also known as Gujarati dance. In Garba dance both the families of groom and bride dance together at night before departure. In this dance the couples dance together with sticks in their hands by hitting them with each other.
